P-25 and P-31 Water Reinjection Modules
Chemtech developed the Front-End Engineering and Design for a system of submerged water injection pumps designed to enhance oil production and recovery, as well as the platform modifications required to accommodate the system. With a multidiscipline team, Chemtech was also responsible for coordinating design, planning and quality in partnership with Kromav.
DCS Migration, Olefin Unit II
In this project, 100% of the plant's obsolete control and operation stations were replaced. Chemtech developed the entire project, from basic through detail engineering to implementation, over a period of two years. The final migration phase was divided into two separate sub-phases: the operating and control stations were replaced during the first sub-phase, which ran over a three-month period with the plant running. The second sub-phase required full plant shutdown.

Pilot biodiesel plant, FEED
In an eight-month project involving multiple disciplines, including electrical engineering, civil engineering and architecture, Chemtech developed the basic engineering, FEED and detailed engineering for a pilot of one of the first biodiesel plants in Brazil. Chemtech's scope of work included all underground systems, the transformer and switchgear rooms, structure and equipment layout, fire protection systems, and atmospheric discharge systems.

Premium 1 and 2 Refineries – Front-End Engineering & Design
In partnership with Foster-Wheeler and UOP, Chemtech is participating in the development of the Premium I and II refineries to be built in Bacabeira, Maranhão, and Pecém, Ceará. We have been awarded the Front-End Engineering and Design for most of the refinery units, including the Atmospheric and Vacuum Distillation, Hydrotreating and Hydrocracking Units. With their high technology content, these refineries will have a combined refining capacity of 900 thousand barrels per day.

MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
This MES project, which integrated CSN's largest steel plant in Latin America, is an example of a long-term, successful partnership. In this project, Chemtech headed the development, implementation and maintenance of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Key project figures include: 5,000 lots produced per day; 35,000 messages exchanged between SAP R/3 and MES and 12,000 messages exchanged between MES and factory floor control systems. The client's hot startup requirement was another important feature of this project.
