Chemtech absorbs the company responsible for XHQ around the world

Chemtech, already enshrined in international projects and in search of new horizons, now takes one more responsibility on the international scenario: it will absorb the North American company Indx Software, which is now part of the Energy sector, of the Siemens group

The core business of Indx is XHQ, an operational intelligence system that allows, for example, real-time viewing of a refinery’s production in all company areas, from operation to management. The software discloses, in the intranet, a website on operations management, integrating production data, such as the use of raw material and equipment, stocks, as well as data on the production (temperatures, pressures, electrical current), quality, maintenance, environment and other. ExxonMobil, Chevron and Saudi Aramco use this tool in their production process.

The partnership between Indx and Chemtech is in place for seven years. The North American company was responsible for providing software XHQ to ExxonMobil, while the Brazilian company customized and implemented a tool for more than 25 refineries all over the world.

During this new phase for the two companies, the integration will be even stronger. Three employees of Chemtech will work directly with Indx in its office in California, USA. Fábio Terasaka, Diogo Bahia and Carlos Novaga assume the positions of technical consultant, sales engineer and CEO of the company, respectively, and about ten employees will work remotely from Brazil. “It is a great pleasure to see Chemtech taking one more responsibility. We are studying various business fronts," said Indx’s CEO, Carlos Novaga.

According to Novaga, from now on, the great expectation of this partnership is the implementation of full solutions. “We will combine the tool that is already a world reference with Brazilian workforce to provide services. Therefore, we will expand our scope of supply and have even better performance in each project," added the CEO.
