With experience of more than a decade in the implementation of the XHQ, a real-time data visualization system for Oil and Gas Giant Companies, like Exxon Mobil and Saudi Aramco, Chemtech now faces a new challenge. Responsible for the control of IndX, a North-American Company that developed the XHQ, the most innovative Brazilian company has just entered into the project RTPM Fase 4 with CSN - Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (National Steel Company). The work will consist of expanding the control tool of CSN’s process indicators for metal sheet production and will be bigger than the other three previous stages together.
The RTPM Fase 4 will encompass six production areas with 15 processing lines, involving around 5 thousand indicators and 321 follow up screens for more than 4 thousand hours of work on modifications in systems of production support ( (Heimdall, MES Redução and LIMS). “Another activity making part of the scope is the automation revitalization study of the blast furnace and steel mill areas. In the previous stage, this work generated more than 10 opportunities approved by the executive board, which will be soon available for bid and will be able to generate new opportunities for Chemtech”, explained Alexsandro Marcio da Silva, Project Manager.
This project strengthens a ten-year partnership between the company and the largest steel company in Latin America. “This ten-year relationship represents a mutual respect and trust not only in Chemtech’s technical quality, but in the people who represents the company. With the new acquisitions and the CSN’s development, this partnership makes us able to keep on walking and growing along with the steel company”, emphasizes Marcos Aurélio Detílio, Marketing Team’s Enginner.
The RTPM fase 4 also represents a milestone in software projects since it comprises 3 different fronts: The XHQ’s configuration, the development of systems and automation conceptual study, a service that Chemtech will also be able to offer to all IndX clients. It was also signed a product maintenance contract with CSN, what will give Company the right to receive new versions of the tool and be provided with technical support directly from California, what is a highly innovative project in the metal and mining sector.
